It has been a few weeks since we have pushed out any content. We are a two person team that works on this site out of our passion for the outdoors. But sometimes life catches up and gets in the way. That has been the case for me as I had surgery a few weeks ago to repair three ligament and cartilage tears in my left arm. The full shoulder to wrist cast and pain medication has sapped much of my motivation. And Jenn has been forced to take care of the dogs, all the cooking, errands, etc while I recover.
But we did decide to get out of the house this weekend for some fresh air. We drove down to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival just south of Portland, Oregon. The Wooden Shoe Farm is a family farm located in Woodburn, Oregon. For one month each year they open up their farm for visitors to come and see the Tulip fields. This month is called the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival.
Here they have 40 acres of breathtaking tulip fields. With distant mountains, colorful tulip fields and hot air balloons, this place becomes a mecca for photographers. See for yourself:
